The Blessed Table was founded out of a desire to feed the hungry in the Greensboro, NC community.  What began in a church basement has grown into an active ministry that served over 3000 families in 2009.  We are tireless in our efforts to feed the hungry and clothe the poor.   Our faith based outreach serves people of all races, creeds, and religions.  We do not discriminate;  we seek to uplift and aide all people who find themselves in need.

The founding churches of the Blessed Table include:  Bass Chapel United Methodist Church; Bessemer United Methodist Church; Carraway United Methodist Church; Laughlin Memorial United Methodist Church; Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church;  Newlyn Street United Methodist Church; Proximity United Methodist Church; and St. Paul's United Methodist Church.  The member churches support the ministry financially, through donations of food and clothing, and by providing volunteers to run the ministry.  The Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from each of the founding churches.
